Megagnathotermes

This genus is very close to Cubitermes (see discussion in Sands, 1998). It is an inhabitant of savannah woodland in west and central Africa. The genus sometimes builds fairly large soil mounds, but is also found as a secondary occupant of the mounds. Group IV feeder.
